This year's new music event will honor the esteemed and beloved Boston composer Daniel Pinkham (1923-2006). The evening concert will feature new music from Turkey and Bulgaria and a 1:00 concert will show what our own local musicians are creating. The Festival is presented with the help of a generous grant from the D'Addario Music Foundation. Additional support from Editions Daminus and Les Editions Doberman-Yppan.

There is more new music for guitar today than ever in history. The BCGS New Music Festival will celebrate this creative outpouring in its full international diversity with performers and composers from France, Japan, Turkey and Bulgaria as well as our hometown of Boston. Come try out the new instruments of New England luthiers; explore the fascinating rhythms of a brilliant Bulgarian composer by playing under his direction; and we are working to have a masterclass for flute and guitar duos.

Location:
The Festival will be held in two locations located on either side of the "Centennial Common" or cul de sac at the end of Forsyth St. right off Huntington Ave. If you emerge from the Orange Line Ruggles Station, Egan Center will be on your right, Ryder Hall to your left across the circle.
